So, my situation:

My GTX 760 isn't being detected by the motherboard in my BIOS (It has a thing that shows what's plugged in where)

The card lights up, fans spin, whole 9 yards, but it straight up won't detect. This is only happening AFTER a power surge ate my computer.

I have a different card in it right now that works just fine in the same slot.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
PSU: Antec Earthwatts 650W
RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
GPU: Radeon HD 6850

hmn, first off, let's work on the obvious (no offense of course),
have you tried removing it then putting it back in?
are the extra power cables properly secured?
the other end of the 6/8 pin is plugged in also?

if those are ok, then my next suggestion would be to use the gpu on another pc, see if it works.
given the incident, the gpu might be busted.
have it checked if all else fails

I've tried all of the obvious, of course. No offense taken.

However, I don't have another PC to test it in. Everything in this PC is brand new or works guaranteed.
