GTX 760 No signal?

Hi, I bought a new PSU (Seasonic M12II 520W 80+ bronze) and installed it. Worked fine with my old GPU, but I bought a GTX 760 and plugged it in with the 6+2 pins and a DVI cable. My monitor shows no signal but the green light on the GPU lights up and the fans spin, whats wrong with it?

I also didn't try installing drivers or any other troubleshooting fixes so please tell me how I could try checking if its the graphics card's fault. It seems like my PSU has enough power for it

You should have an 8pin and a 6pin power connecter connected to that card I believe. Those symptoms usually indicate that the card isn't getting enough power.

No sorry, it takes either 8 pin or 6+2 pin connectors.

Bump, I have three hours until I can return it for the weekend. My PSU looks like it can run the GPU, can it not? has enough wattage and 12v rail amps

Are you sure the GTX 760 is 100% working?

2nd picture...... If you hover over the left side of the card to zoom in on it, there is an 8pin and a 6 pin plugin. If they are both there they both need to be plugged in.

theres power coming through it since i accidentally touched it with the dvi cable and it sparked but it didnt display anything even before that event

If only the 8 pin is plugged in you will get power(fans spinning, lights) but you won't be getting enough power for the card to work properly.

your psu have 2 pci-e cable so plug them in it and on gpu .

It's not being detected in the device manager or the nvidia driver setup. I checked while connected to my MOBO's IGP

There is only one port for 8 pins in the GPU I connected the 6+2 pin connection and that's it.

connect monitor to it and made sure the gpu have power and is well seated in the board slot not at a angle é

That's odd. Do you have a link to the exact card you purchased?

Not really, I bought it used. The seller said he tested it and it worked apparently. It's a GTX 760 DirectCU II from ASUS. Even from the pictures in the internet it has one 8 pin port at the top

then last option you have is to test this gpu in another system since it is second hand might not be working .

I'm guessing the GPU is dead, I tried running it with two separate PSU's at once (High end M12II solely for GPU and generic 400W for system) and it still didnt detect the GPU. But if it's DOA or dead, wouldn't it mean that the fans shouldn't be spinning and the lights not working?

even is fans spins and light comes on the internal could be defective if it have been use outside d working range like to high overclock or bitcoin mining .
