I have a MSI Gaming gtx 760. I would like to overclock it but im worried about the life span of the card im broke and probably will be for a while so that means if i kill this graphics im not getting another one anytime soon but i would still like to overclock so should i maybe just overclock it a bit without increasing the voltage? would that still have an effect on the lifespan of the card? or maybe just turn up the voltage a few mv? The max i can turn up the voltage is 12 mv. The card seems to stay very cool even overclocked i have never seen it above 70c. So if the voltages are up but the card still stays cool will the voltages alone shorten the life of the card or is it the heat that does it?

Dont worry about it I accidently put a 500mhz OC on my GPU one time, it just makes your pc crash and have problems starting up, if this happens then you know the problem. A gpu unless it's faulty will last for ages too be...

Well i know how to overclock I just like to get other peoples input cant hurt. And since i have only been pc gaming for abt 2 years now i really dont know about how long graphics cards last especially with my 120mhz overclock and increased voltages im getting a bit paranoid. I sold all my consoles a week ago so now if this computer dies i dont have netflix and gaming which is really all i do when im at home so i would die of boredom.

A gpu unless it's faulty will last for ages too be honest you will probably get a new one ahead of it dying. Just take things slowly and stress test it a lot before leaving it. Kombust is a good software that comes with afterburner.
