GTX 760 sudden drop in fps on LoL for a couple of months

I bought the graphics card in September and the game ran at 200+fps and it was very smooth. Then around 1-2months ago its suddenly struggled to reach 60fps and if I have another program open it can drop to 30fps and even lower when alot is going on.

I know this isn't a top-tier card but considering it did run at very high settings and now I have to run it on low for the performance I need still with issues sometimes I'm wondering what it could be?

I've tried installing new drivers and a clean install of them. I've also fiddled with all the settings on league of legends including Vsync etc. It also appears that other games run smoothly if theres any way to test?

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz
RAM: 8GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Do a virus scan as viruses can dramatically lower your fps in specific games

It could even be the game if it only drops on that one game.
