This is a prety nooby question but my graphics card has two slots for the power supply. One has 6 pins and the other 8. I have installed one six pin connector but wonder if i should plug in the 2 dangling pins on the other piece.
I forgot they still made these just like the OEM 660 Ti I once helped a friend install. The 760 Ti is just a 670 (1344 cores and 256-bit bus), the 760 OEM is the same as the 660 Ti OEM (same 1152 cores and cut-down 192-bit bus).
No it is the 760 ti. It is a real thing. It is a copy of the 670 with a rebranded name. It has one 6 pin slot and another 8 pin slot. I have connected one slot with just 6 and the other has 6 and 2 dangling. Should i plug in the two dangling pieces, under specifications it has 2 six pins. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760ti-oem/specifications
Where did you get it from? It is only supposed to have two six pins but it may be overclocked and need more power like some of the regular 760's from asus, EVGA etc which have a six and an eight pin.
I'm starting to think its a normal 760. Im going to check the specs. It says 760 but the guy told me it was a 760 ti but to be honest at 160 it is a fair deal for either.

Ya if you can figure out exactly which card that will tell you a lot about it. A 760 and 760Ti are nearly identical. Just make sure it isn't the 192 bit version if it is OEM that one is slower. $160 is a steal though.
It is the 256 bit version. I checked nvidias web site and it has the same cuda core as the 760 so im not too sure. I checked under geforce experience and it says 760 so im pretty sure i got a better deal than expected.

Sounds like you did good then. The 760 is a solid card. Happy gaming!

The guy misspoke. He had a 660 ti and sold it then posted a gtx 760 for sale. He said ti because he got both confused, but still 160 for an evga gtx 760 with acx cooling is pretty nice.
