I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked and was expecting to be able to run Skyrim at Max settings on 1080p with at least a constant 60 FPS. However, when running it at Max I get only 10-15 fps which makes it pretty much unplayable. On high settings it gets around 10-20 FPS. The only way I can play it is if I turn the settings down to medium or play on 720p, when I thought the 760 was capable of much more. Also beat Sleeping Dogs and had to play it at 720p on medium settings because the video was just too choppy. I did some research and it seems I'm not getting anywhere near as much performance as I should be. Any ideas?
My Specs:
Intel Core i7 4770k @ 3.50GHz
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 2GB
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H Motherboard
16.00 GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance
Seasonic 750W PSU
27" Asus Monitor
Windows 8.1
I've updated all Graphics card drivers. I used Display Driver Uninstaller to remove all GPU drivers so I could reinstall them.
Are there specific drivers for other components I could have overlooked or is my card just faulty?
