So I have a gtx 765m gpu ( I know it's old) on my laptop (alienware m14x) the laptop's in a pretty good condition, but recently CS:GO has been running on low fps like 20-30 sometimes drops low and sometimes gets higher to like 40-50fps max. Can someone tell me how to boost my PC's performance for CS:GO? Basically use it to it's full abilities because I do know sometimes certain settings limit it's performance.
Thanks a bunch.

Lower the MSAA and the FXAA because they are the options that really act negatively on your performance, next would be the effects and texture quality. While I wouldn't recommend turning the shadows off because they are the only way you can spot others in smoke and lowering the res is also bad because it's a twitch shooter (you need to use the full potential of your screen).

That's really weird. I have the same graphics card and am running it on highest settings at over 100 FPS. What CPU do you have? I'd recommend lowering the settings, and maybe checking your temps, as your computer could be overheating. Use OpenHardwareMonitor to check. If you are running on high temps (i.e. 88+ degrees), clean out your fans. There are plenty of guides online on how to do this.

Good luck.

My fps is that much on the lowest settings ;-; I don't know what's wrong!!! I have an Intel i7-4700MQ at 2.40 Ghz 16 gigs of ram and an Nvidia Gtx 765m GPU, not many processes open and I still run on low fps :LLL

Did you check your temps? If they are high, they may be the culprit. Also, in nVidia control panel, make sure CS:GO is set to use the High Performance GPU.
