Hey guys recently purchased an XL2430t for the 144hz refresh rate in csgo, the monitor came with a dual link DVI cable which ive been using at 144hz and it seems good, just have a few questions im not too sure on,

would i benefit more from switching out the DVI cable to a HDMI cable ?

i have a second cheap ben q monitor that i want to use a a second screen , but i dont know which cable i should buy to make it work, when i look at ports on my GPU, i think there is DVI, HDMI, display port, and one other that looks similar to a DVI but i dunno what it is ?

so whats the best two cable setup i should use ?

thanks

Its fine to use HDMI or DVI because its the same things. HDMI is just DVI with more bandwidth to carry an audio channel(s), and now 4k support. It has the same tech behind it so it have no really differences besides HDMI being newer and....well HDMI has far succeeded DVI in recent years with 4k support and higher refresh rates for higher resolutions. No point in switching cables if you don't have to.

As for the second monitor it sounds like the 4th connector is VGA. Is it Blue? I would just use HDMI, Displayport or even DVI (If your card has a second one). It really doesn't matter as long as you don't choose VGA. Because that is Analog and it will look like crap.
