GTX 770 BF4 FPS drop?

My new windforce gtx 770 had been performing at around 70- 90 fps in bf4, but now is around 45- 110 fps. The same is reflected in other performance tests. I flashed cmos once and it temporarily fixed it. I tried the beta/ recommended drivers and no change. Any advice?

70 - 90 is within 45 - 114. The problem isn't a drop in fps, its variability. Without any other info, I'd say it's just varying with the scenarios that your are playing.

The issue is that the same thing seems to happen in benchmarks; the range of my results is drastically increased with outlying results. Is there something you recommend, or is this expected?

I think, from what I've read, that this is part and parcel with the game. It comes up quite often

I hope so. I played a bit more and it has definitely changed since yesterday. It never dropped below 65-70 fps, now it's under 60 quite frequently.

Nothing overheating? cpu? gpu?
