Hi again forum, I posted earlier that I have an EVGA Superclocked GTX 770 with the reference cooler.

The temps under full load seem to be around 80c, which makes me think the card won't last many years since I play very often.

I have a fan profile I can set so I tried to put the fan on 70% when it gets around 72c. This has kept the card around 74-75c.

My question is kind about about which will wear out first lol, the fan at 70% speed and GPU at 74c, or Fan at 45% speed and GPU at 79c?

Which would be better for the cards longevity?

Thanks!

The temperature is normal, the card will actually throttle back its speed to reduce the thermal loads as it hits 80C so you'll probably not see it get any hotter.
Another option would be to se a custom fan profile using MSI Afterburner.
80 degrees C is well within safe operating temperatures. I do believe that eVGA provides a pretty nice warranty which should cover any issues you may run into, but I can almost guarantee that the card will last for many many years, even at those temperatures.

I have already purchased the card, so getting another card for a better cooler doesn't have me too excited after spending 420$.

I'm mainly wondering should I keep the fan at 65% or just let it do what it wants?
