hey, i just started doing some small overclocking with the msi 770 lightning.

im using the msi kombustor and testing the settings in the oc test, it works great but when im going in game for eksample battle field 4, the nvidia driver shuts down (im using the 331.82 version driver).

could it be the driver or bad oc by me? 😛

im using the msi after burner, the settings there are:

power limit: 109
core clock: 100
memory clock: 50

and the fan speed is on 80%
my gpu is on 50-53 celsius.
by some reason, the core voltage setting is locked, i cant use it... is my gpu locked? since ive seen a lot of people with the 770 lightning use that option.

the core is running at 1345 mhz and the memory is running at 3557 mhz

not so big changes, and it runs cool, it just fail big time when i play games :/

use this setting and see if it works

Power Target 110%
CPU clock +80 MHz
Mem clock +420 MHz
Mem voltage +0.52 Mv
GPU Voltage Memory +12 Mv
Fan RPM, 60%

if ur GPU temp exceeds 80C reduce the voltage, clock and memory speed

run stress test....to find the sweet spot :)

my settings are

core voltage:+12

memory voltage: +60

aux voltage: +30

power limit 109

memory clock: +130

core clock: +90

the gpu is max 57 celsius so thats good :)

i actually notice the diffrence between the oc and non oc, but im playing around 40 min and then direct x stop working (only when im playing bf4, works great with other games)

is it because i have to much voltage or to low?
