Okay looking to upgrade my currently 7870,

Out of these 3 cards, which would be the best suited for me??

Currently I have a AMD FX-9370, is it best to stay in the AMD family?

I play mostly BF4, which also sides more towards the AMD approach and since I heard the new 280x series is just a 7970 is it worth going to one or going to a 7970?

I use 2 monitors (1x HDMI, 1x DVI) both are 24 inches and looking to move to 2x 27 inch monitors soon.

Also what brand of card would be the best option? I have always sided with Gigabyte but more then happy to open up my horizons to other leading brands.

None of those
Save up for the R9 290 Non X version

If it is out of those then the R9 280x
Has larger memory bus than the 770 ans should be more future proof. If you can get a HD 7970 at a decent price, then consider it as it is pretty much an 280x.

Well I will list off some prices (best i can find for my country)

770 - $439
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC Edition 2GB Splinter Cell

7970 - $339
Sapphire Radeon HD7970 3GB OC Edition with Boost

280x - $399
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X Overclocked 3GB

290 - $499
Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB

Hmmm, the HD 7970 seems to be the best deal In my view. Remember the GPU on the R9 and 7970 are the same and perform very similarly.
The general consensus is that the Gigabyte wind force has the best performance with a good overclock.

Which 7870 do you have?
I would save your money and make a bigger upgrade personally. You usually want to go at least two steps up.
The three you have listed are a step to maybe a step and a half. R9 280x being the best in the bunch.

Even Embra agrees with me, I would save up a bit more and go for the R9 290. However I wouldn't buy R9 290x as the non X is only like 2 frames slower.

I looks to be one of the better bangs for the buck on the high end.
Wait for when the non-reference cooling cards come out and they are bench marked to see.
The holidays might bring some deals as well. In your situation, I would be patient.

And gives him more time to save.
