GTX 770 or R9 280X

I just want to know that which one is better, and why. I wanna go with an MSI TwinFrozr one, but you can offer me better.

My current setup is:

ASRock H97M Pro 4
Intel Core i7 4770
8Gb HyperX Genesis 1600MhZ
MSi R7850 2GD5 (TF 4)
XFX Pro 650W Semi modular PSU

Both are around $300. The GTX 770 benchmarks I saw beat the R9 280x.

For another $320 = GTX 780

970 is the best choice overall, but not for the budget he listed.

If you are going to spend around the $350 mark, definitely go 970.

I'm living in Hungary, and i think if i order from newegg even with free shipping i have to pay the taxes because of EU...

And 900 series is just coming in our country at horribly high prices.

I would still go with GTX 770 over the 280x if the prices are similar.

i'll going to buy it as "used" the prices are more friendly if i do it that way. Do you guys know when 970 and 980 series will completly change the current ones? I mean at the dealers.
