GTX 770 Pink Screening - Driver Issues?

So I finished assembling the build I was putting together for my girlfriend for Christmas. Using an old image of W7 I had lying around (but having purchased a key) I installed the OS twice and the installation had no problems either time until I did a windows update. Both times following this update (about 140 updates in total each time) once the PC rebooted everything would appear fine until I tried to move the mouse or open an application, at which point the screen would flash a few colors before becoming completely pink, not allowing me to see what I'm doing. In one instance I could still use my mouse but couldn't see the desktop, and in the other I couldn't see either.

Given this always occurs after a windows update I'm assuming one of these updates is installing a strange driver or something. Granted I don't have service pack 1 installed yet if that matters. Does anyone have any thoughts? Really hoping I don't need to RMA my card, as I've already had to do that with a hard drive.

Also this is the SuperClocked version of the card with ACX cooling.

check your monitor cable theres a known issue with some ben-q monitors and some other brands that use the same internals.
check the cable connector block if your using an hdmi to vga/dvi converter.
if the problem persists try downgrading your gfx driver or upgrading to a newer 1 if your using the 1 that came with the card.

Tried a third attempt just now. Installed a new image of W7 with SP1 and tried to just install the video drivers that came with the card first after the fresh install. Once that was done, I restarted and the PC booted up to the desktop. It seemed like it was going to work for a moment, as I opened up Internet Explorer, and then it happened again. The screen just goes totally pink and I can't see what I'm doing at all or if the PC is even still operational (it might be frozen, I don't know, can't tell.)

Currently I have my PC hooked up to my television via HDMI through the graphics card. So I wouldn't suspect that'd be the issue, particularly since I booted up my other custom build just fine. It seems I'm running into a whole gauntlet of problems with this new build that I didn't last time and I'm not particularly sure what could be wrong.

As per your advice HEXiT, that'd be easy enough if the problem didn't make it where I literally cannot do anything once the screen pink. And it goes pink almost immediately. But always, ALWAYS only after I've installed video drivers.
