The title pretty much says it all. Which card/cards should I get and which would be the best for the future? Also how many watt PSU would I need for the SLI and crossfire setups. Thanks
Performer the 290X only thing is it has the reference cooler which can get loud. For $50 less you can get the GTX780 which is only 7% away from it in uber mode on average http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/R9_290X/27.html
thought about 290x? it would be better than all the above. but from the list selected, i rule out 280x crossfire, too many problems with frame latency/stuttering in crossfire and less game support than nvidia's sli. 770 sli will be the fastest option there, although 2gb models could run out of steam with games pushing the 2gb vram barrier.
280x crossfire will beat d 770 n 780 but watchout 4 crossfires. If you want a single card which is d strongest without woes I suggest the 780. But it mainly depends on you gaming resolution n gaming settings. 280x cf would be a waste if your gonna game in 1080p. Might I suggest a alternative to d 780 n cheaper? 290x is faster n 100 bucks cheaper.
Hmmm, I've heard that there are problems with CF and this has confirmed it. I won't get the 280x CF. I will be gaming at 1080p on either a 120hz or 144hz monitor if this helps. Also would you recommend the 290x over the others? I will definitely have a look at it.
Oh yes . For future gaming shouls you go more then 1 monitor hell yeah. The 290x is 4k xertifoed gaming 100 $ cheaper then d 780 n beats the 1000 $ titan n 780 in price and performance. Plus ull get a battlefield 4 key ltd edition.
Couple of days ago it was a no question getting the 290X $550 over the GTX780 $650. With the current price cuts of $150 for the GTX780 costing now $500 it is more a matter which you favor. You will not be able to tell the performance difference on a single 1080P monitor.

For gpu intensive games , he sail thru easily with a 290x
Thanks for all your help everyone. Im going to get either the 290x or Gtx 780. If I have enough money im going to get a higher resolution monitor, which card would be better?

Plus the 780 is quieter and doesn't overheat easily (granted I have the EVGA ACX cooler but besides the point). Cooling is the main issue with the 290 and 290x right now.
