gtx 770 stuttering

Hello, I have upgraded my graphics card to a Galaxy gtx 770 from a gtx 570 yesterday. When I play Battlefield 3, the framerate drops to around 15 from around 60-70. What I have noticed is that also the card does not stutter until it reaches the 50 degrees Celsius mark but once it reaches it, the card stutters a lot and the gpu load hovers around 50-60%. I don't know what is going on so any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I literally have the exact same system and had the same problem it had been annoying me for ages but yesterday I realised that my motherboard which stated that it was is not compatible with my CPU I had an Msi 760gm p23 and that turned out to be the problem maybe it's something similar in you're system what motherboard are you using?

I literally have the exact same system and had the same problem it had been annoying me for ages but yesterday I realised that my motherboard which stated that it was is not compatible with my CPU I had an Msi 760gm p23 and that turned out to be the problem maybe it's something similar in you're system what motherboard are you using?

Yeah the 8320 isn't on the compatibility list for that board you need to upgrade it or downgrade your CPU

It seems that board has issues with the fx 8320 and 8350, it's vrms can't keep up with the power demand and it causes the cpu to throttle so ASrock pulled it from the compatibility list. Oddly enough this is the same problem the 960g chipsets have with those cpus.

Its fairly common for this issue with VRM throttling.

You can test to see, get some sort of heatsink(s) and thermal tape and attach to the Motherboard VRMs.

It most likely is the thing that is causing the stuttering.

I have that Mobo, and guess what brought me to this forum, video stuttering in games.
