Both the gtx 770 and the R9 280x are very appealing but i am not sure which one to go with, basically im trying to figure out which will be better Mantle vs Shadowplay

Solution
If you can squeeze out a bit more id go for the R9 290 ... not the 290x. Check out this pcgamer article. http://www.pcgamer.com/review/amd-radeon-r9-290-review/

Around $50 (havent checked prices myself.. just going by the article) more than the 770 but a bigger bang for the buck.

Shadowplay is already supported by some games...mantle isn't....seems easy enough

Don't fanboy sir, its very unbecoming. I dont see mantle utilization yet, otherwise AMD gpus would be stomping all over the greens in BF4. Until mantle is being adopted over directx etc it doesnt really matter, shadowplay on the other hand is supported by games already and can be utilized. As far as the OP goes, just grab yourself a capture card for streaming, at the end most streamers end up picking one up.

microsoft already stressed out that their console will only support DirectX 11.x. just because PS4 and XBone were using GCN based gpu inside it doesn't necessarily mean they will be using Mantle API. AFAIK both console will have their own low level API. the actual advantage amd will gain from the dual console win was developer will be familiar with the architecture when they port their title to pc.

Here's an idea, take your own advice. Or at least, do the required reading before making such an ignorant statement:

Now fair enough that those games are upcoming but as I did say, Battlefield 4 utilises Mantle:

Heres an idea, when your GPU stats utilizing mantle optimization, you go ahead and shoot me a pm, till then its all smoke and words.
