Gtx 780 (299€) vs Gtx 970 (389€)

So there was huge price drop on MSI gtx 780 lighting in one of the shops in my country. So here i am thinking should i save 90€, but miss the new built gpu and 4gb vram.

There is just so much talking about geting 970 over 780, but should i still do it with this kind off price between those two?

Is 970 more future proofing upgrade than 780 from 560ti what i have now?

Is there enything more i should know?

Well, apart from the performance difference, the GTX 970 will also support DX12, so it's probably the better buy for 'future proofing'.

GTX970 consumes also less power than GTX780.

The gtx 780 will also support dx12. Given the price difference the 780 is the better price/performance ratio in this case. Here in the states the price difference is smaller making the 970 the better option.
