GTX 780 3GB or GTX 960 4GB

SO a friend of mine is selling a slightly used GTX 780 3GB because he is upgrading to a GTX980Ti, He is offering it to me for $230, compared to a GTX960 4GB is it worth buying the 780?

a 780 is still far stronger than a 960. The 780 will get "basically" 50% more FPS than a 960.

If you can sell your current GTX 960 for $100-$125, you are looking at a cost of ~$115 for a 40-50% performance increase (only you can say if that is worth it for you). Keep in mind the GTX 780 will use more power so it will cost you a bit more over time and you must also have a PSU that can power it safely.
