Hi guys,

I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB DDR5 (http://i.imgur.com/lIisRE4.png) and I would like to know about you guys which is the best option for me to take, I've been watching some benchmarks videos on youtube about the performance from the GTX 780 in SLI and it's pretty much impressive (the performance is compared to the GTX Titan) but I also seen that the GTX 980 4GB is pretty powerful as well (and have new components compared to the GTX 780 apart to have more memory too).

I really like my GTX 780, is a very good card but now with the new games as Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Syndicate is kind of bottlenecking the performance of the card in maximum settings and the framerate is being compromised.

My specs are pretty good for a gaming PC:

- Motherboard: G1 Sniper B5
- Processor: Intel Core i7 4770 3.5GHz
- RAM: 16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
- PSU: Corsair TX750 750 watts

Should I invest in another GTX 780 and perform a SLI with the cards or should I sell my GTX 780 and put more money to take a single GTX 980?

Here in Brazil, the brand new cards are pretty much expensive because of all taxes included (the GTX 980 is around $700 USD, the GTX 970 is around $430) and an used GTX 780 is around $345 USD (because there is no more brand new GTX 780 on the market as it was discontinued).

Another thing, is my PSU powerfull enough to hold a GTX 780 SLI or if I choose this I will have to buy a powerfull PSU to support the both cards?

I really would like to hear from you guys what is the best option to take.

Thank you very much,

Kindly regards,

if i were you i hold onto your funds till the newer amd and pascal gpu drop this year. the newer cards from leaks are going to use a lot less power then your 780 or the 900 line and be a lot faster then the 900 line of gpu.
If multi GPU works for any particular game, 780 SLI will be stronger. Multi GPU performance varies from game to game. You might be better off selling your 780 and getting a single GPU.

In the US, the R9 Nano and R9 Fury are about the same price as a GTX 980 and outperform it. If it's like that in Brazil too, I would change your choice to between 780 SLI or R9 Fury/Nano.

Your PSU should be just enough for 780 SLI.
