GTX 780 on a ASUS P8H61-M

Hi, noob here,does the gtx 780 fit on a PCI-e 2.0 x16 slot? i have read on forums that it only fits on a 6 pin and 8 pin slot. If not, what would be the best graphics card I could run, assuming that I have a good enough PSU? Thanks.

It will work with the motherboard. The 8pin and 6pin part refers to the connectors coming from the power supply

Will it have any problem guys ?? cause I'm facing the same problem .. I have ASUS P8H61/LEUSB3 and I don't have sufficient money now to upgrade it or my cpu (intel i3 2100) I will upgrade them later. but right now I'll upgrade my graphics card to gtx 780 and my P.Supply .... So will the 780 work properly even if not its best performance ??
