my system:
i5 3470 CPU (3.2 ghr 3.6 turbo)
8 gigs 1333 mhz ram
Z77-DS3H motherboard
CORSAIR 750W PSU
GTX 780TI GPU (my computer is 2 years old and i upgraded from gtx 660 and reinstalled drivers)
pirated win 7 64bit

I am playing games like bf4 arma 2\3 dayz

In this games i am getting much lower fps than my freinds with weaker graphics cards so its not because this games are unoptimized and are cpu intensive because my freinds are getting much better results and cpu bottleneck is not the problem .

so as you can see i have a cheap mobo and a cheap ram compared to my freinds who have 16 gigs of ram i 7 3770s but much weaker graphics cards
at the start i was sure that my i5 is bottlenecking but after a long research i found that my cpu is not a bottleneck.

it feels like after upgrading from 660 in the hope of gaining huge fps boosts in my games i got small if any increace in my preformence.

the things that i am planning to do to try and solve this problem is waiting for windows 10 and then reformating my pc and getting a License windows (windows 10 will be free).

and another option i have is buying a good mobo with an i7 4790 but i am afraid it will not help and i will just waste my time and money.

i was trying to solve this problem for a long time now. i am very sad that i wasted so much money on a graphics card to get nothing but 10 fps .

i dont know what else can i try and this is why i came here
please help i have no one who is an expert in gaming rigs and this forum is my only hope .

*soory for my bad english
If somethhing is unclear post a comment and i will try to edit my post

How do you know that your CPU is not bottlenecking the GTX 780ti, if you look at this post, his CPU is much better than yours and he's still getting CPU bottlenecks. Battlefield 4 is a very CPU intensive game. I'm not quite sure about Arma or DayZ, but I'm pretty sure those games are CPU intensive games as well.

Can you post your CPU/GPU usage and core clock while gaming? If you have a second monitor use CPUz/GPUz and windows task manager. If not you can use MSI afterburner/riva tuner along with HWinfo to display statistics on screen. There are several how to guides just do a quick google search. What you want to check for is if your CPU or GPU is hitting max usage, temperatures, and core clocks (to make sure nothing is being throttled). Also check background applications to make sure they are not taking CPU power away from you.

ARMA is not a good game to test with because you get fairly low frame rates no matter what kind of system you have, and with BF4 make sure your browser is closed in the background because I found that it would use up a lot of CPU power, taking away performance from BF4 running.

the gpu usage usually is about 60-30% and the cpu is 60-90% core clock of the gpu is 1300

but i looked in alot of forums and they all say that i5 3470 will not bottleneck gtx 780 ti

What kind of fps are you getting in BF4? Settings? If your doing your testing for BF4 on multiplayer remember that it is CPU intensive and may not be the best performance benchmark. You might want to grab a program like furmark or if you have a game with a benchmarking tool that you can compare with online benching that would be your best bet.

Also since max GPU usage is 60% I think it's clear your GPU isn't broken or anything it's just not being fed enough data to process.

There will always be a bottle neck somewhere in the system, and depending on the application and i5 will bottleneck a high end graphics card. Just take a look at some gaming CPU benchmarks, there is a reason the i7 is at the top. And if you do not have an overclocked i5 your max fps will be that much less. You have a good processor but don't fool your self into thinking it's unstoppable.

sometimes in dayz the gpu is 30~%and on heaven benchmark i got 12000 score i am not into oc so buying that i7 4790 + mobo will give me a noticable fps boost or just like 5-10? what about the software side ? can it be the problem and reformating should help?

Probably on games that are not CPU intensive. But Battlefield 4 is CPU intensive. Your GPU is great, but your CPU is lacking some power.

so buying thet i74790 + mobo will help? i want to be sure so i will not spend 700$ just to get 5 fps and also what about the software side a pirated win 7 can cause problems?is my ram is fast enough ?
also take aloot at this http://www.techspot.com/articles-info/712/bench/CPU_03.png only a 3 fps difference betwen i5 3470 and a i7 4770 but maybe they tested it on low populated servers?

I can't recommend spending that kind of money, because I believe you will not see the improvement you are after. I think we first need to identify if the CPU is limiting performance or if there is something else going on. Because if it is the CPU you can do a quick benchmark search of the difference between your current processor and the i7 to figure out how it will change.

singleplayer 30-55
multiplayer (battleroyale, epoch , king of the hill ) 25-30

what resolution and settings are your friends running compared to you. i.e. are they on 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 or 2560x1440? what is your monitor. What AA type and levels are you running. Just looking at framerate alone tells us nothing.

we all play dayz on very high with post proccesing off

what about arma 3 and dayz the cpu usage was ~70% on the first core and 40-60% on the 3 others also the gpu usage (its called "gpu core load" i am not sure) was 50-40%
(i tested it in the infantry showcase)

Just give up on ARMA and dayz having good performance, it's just not going to happen. The engine it runs on just doesn't work well with multiplayer. You can have the greatest system in the world and your results will probably be the same.

but you dont understand that rigs with gtx 670 and 760 outpreform mine so something is wrong here they all play dayz and arma on 40-60 fps while i play it with 25-40 please tell me things that i can try to do (my drivers are updated )

Are yall all on the same server at the same time? My system is in my signature so you can see what I got and when I play ARMA I only get 25-40fps on multiplayer servers. If you enter an empty server your fps should go up but for the most part you performance is right on par to what I have experienced in that game. If your performance is just fine in every other game then I would say you are alright.

you got a weaker gpu than me but you are getting the same results and you think its normal?
also that stutering i have in bf4 64 players is probably a bottleneck?
what upgrades will boost my fps in arma 3?
