So here I am, excited, looking forward to max Crysis 3 and I instantly noticed terrible FPS? After about 30 seconds, my PC turned off. I'm not that great with computers but I hooked up the card myself, upgraded from a GTX 560. My guess is that the power supply isn't great enough, can someone please help me on this, see if you can find any more information on the power supply because that's all I get from it.

If you're just looking at wanting to max out games and you don't really care about things like video editing or rendering or having that extra compute power these two will do you fine at about 400$:

If you do want to have that higher computing power for stuff like rendering this CPU would be a better call:

What about the underclocking? It can't be any lesser than this, can I change that?

They do make cheaper H87 mobos (which are not unlocked like Z87 for overclocking K series CPU) but I'm honestly not sure on the compatibility of those with the K series CPUs this generation. I assume they would work fine, but I would highly recommend going with a Z87 mobo and that is considered a solid budget mobo.

Okay so I've come to the conclusion that it really is bottlenecking, guess this will do for awhile, running Crysis at constant 60 FPS at average graphics when I underclock it. Thank for the help guys, will buy the new parts sometime this week.

Okay, I think your solution solved it, I'm not sure if my parts just needed to get accustomed to the graphics card? But Crysis 3 runs perfect at max graphics max AA everything, strange? Guess I don't need to buy new parts any time soon. No shut offs, and also I don't even have to underclock the card anymore, does anyone else find this strange?
