Im going to buy one of the cards but i was wondering if its a big advantage to have 4gb ram with 512bit memorybus over the gtx 760 lower memeory bus (382 something) and 3gb.

Will the 4gb be needed in the future? I will probably not buy 2 monitors but i might step up and buy a QHD screen. I want a card that will last as long as possible and I will be using it for gaming. Thanks in advance! :)

Hi seraj5
Not much between the two cards

My preference the 780 , the gigabyte gtx 780 is a great card with its windforce cooling
gigabyte also make the R290 with windforce cooling great heat dissapation
The R290 is the cheaper option
If you want Advanced Physx go with the GTX 780
If not the radeon-r9-290 will serve you well also

I have 780s and love them... Great cards. That said they're pretty comparable (trade blows for different games) and the r290 is the better value right now...and it never hurts to have more VRAM. Enjoy the card friend!

If you plan to stay as a single GPU then you should go for the AMD card, it is cheaper and runs faster in some titles and the extra GB of VRAM may make a difference at 4K, if you plan to have 2 or more cards in the future then go for the 780, they run cooler, use less power and usually the SLI driver support is more up to date.

i dont know what advanced physx is, i have 2 r9 290 reference cards and i was thinking of selling one and put an accelero IV, but im to afraid to touch the card that much because im not a pro so i will most likely kill the card. And i dont know anyone who can attach it.
