I’m looking for a graphics card for my pc. I’m a bit out of touch with the current market, so looking for advice. I’ll be buying used, as I won’t get enough use to warrant paying new prices. I’ve narrowed down to the following 3, which seem pretty close in terms of benchmarks.

GTX 780ti 3gb £100
GTX 970 4gb £105
GTX 1060 3gb £125

I’m thinking the 970 presents the best value. It’ll be used for simulation games and light video editing. Connected to 2560 x 1600 monitor, and i5 4440 + 8gb ram.

1060 3gb and 970 perform similar. 1060 uses less power out of the bunch. What's your psu make and model?

Does your monitor have Freesync and a Displayport connection? If so, Nvidia have made it possible to run Freesync on 10 series and up using a Displayport cable.

PSU is OCZ 500w of the top of my head. Monitor is dual link DVI.

Thanks.

Tim-LR I personally wouldn't consider the 780 ti, because of the 3 GB of VRAM, 2013 release date, and 250 watt TDP. How much could you get a 1060 6GB used for?
I was thinking along the same lines. The prices I have shown are from a high street store that provides warranty. They don't have the 6gb in stock but I'll keep checking.
