Hello, I recently bought a Gtx 780ti amp edition (zotac) and i have 16gb ram and a amd a10 6800k cpu...Will that cpu bottlneck my gpu because in battlefield 4 on ultra 1920x1080 i get like 30-40 fps.

You have an APU. So just overclock and stay with it. Or you can upgrade the CPU along with a graphics card. But you may need to change the motherboard if the new CPU has a different socket.

And yes it is a bottleneck I believe. APU don't go well with another graphcis card.

Don't listen to everyone here. A Computer is a General-Purpose machine. There is not ONE single task assigned to it.
It will depend on which games you play. The games that are more Graphic Intensive will probably not be bottlenecked, Those who are very CPU-Intensive will be bottlenecked.

The PC changes with what you do, not the inverse. You can never change what a Computer does.

Regards,

battlefield 4 is maybe not the most cpu intensive game. but that CPU is bottlenecking in this case. he wants to play new games on high settings. then update that CPU.

with CPU, i ment the APU.

Did you try other games?
SSAA and V-Sync can seriously deteriorate a game's FPS.
Also, is your CPU always running at 100% during a playthrough?

Might as well say that an Intel Core i5-2400 Bottlenecks the 780ti then.

In my honest opinion, I think of this as a big waste of money. If you just got that CPU, stick with it. But if you already wanted to upgrade since a long time ago, go for the i5, its value is pretty good right now, especially if you get a rebate! As for the motherboard, if you do not intend to do some serious overclocking, don't fall in the MOBO Gimmick war. The redundant features such as USB Boost or Ethernet Boost are all gimmicks.

The FX-8320 is also a good choice if you want to go for the cheap. A mobo-cpu combo can be found around 199$.

Hope it helps,

those MSI motherboard problems are in the past now. it should be a perfectly good working motherboard.
QC stands for quality control by the way. but you can go for other cheaper motherboards aswell that will perform just as good.

then the i7, if you want to spend the money...you can go for it. but the i5 will last you quite a while and you wont see any fps differences compared to the i7.

and like bloc97 said. you can also go for an fx 8320. I use an fx 8320 and it's more then good enough for gaming. the i5 4690k is better and will give you more futureproofing though.

You should see an increase in FPS, but if the problem lies somewhere else than the bottleneck, im afraid that you could waste money.
It would be stupid to use 300$ to then notice that you had a malware or installed the wrong drivers, etc.

We should be focusing on the problem instead of concluding immediately that its an bottleneck.
