Hello

I am going to buy a new gpu next month for my new pc. I currently have a GTX660.

I will game, graphic design, 3D design and rendering, video editing.

I was told that the GTX780ti is as powerful as the Titan but with only 3gb of ram.

The GTX970 has 3.5gb ram and .5gb slow ram.

The GTX980 has 4gb ram.

Now I would like to get the GTX780Ti, I worry that its old, it is only DX11 and it only has 3 gb of ram.

The GTX970 I worry about the ram situation it has now.

The GTX980 probably will be too expensive for me unless I get extra money.

I will game but only alittle. The pc will be used for productivity mostly.

Which is a good gpu to get? Is the GTX780ti still good with only 3gb of ram?

Solution
Well the GTX 970 is definitely slower than the 780Ti but it runs cooler and requires less power to run. Now, you really have to choose between the GTX 980 or the GTX 780Ti, since the GTX 970 cant compete here anymore. you have to really compare the 2 architectures Kepler and Maxwell. Maxwell is newer and performs better in some scenarios than the Kepler.
Now, take a look here. They discussed your same question!

A new 780ti @ $430 is literally in the middle of 970/980 in both price and performance. Most new buyers choose a 9xx series though. I love my 780ti OC but would get a 980 if I were on the market for a new GPU.

I can't wait to see the EVGA 980 with hybrid liquid cooling in action, that thing has my attention.
