GTX 870 and 880: what release price?

how much will the 870 and 880 cost respectively in the UK when they are released. either that or get an MSI R9 290 OC Gaming Edition and overclock that to 780 Ti/880 levels.
What do you guys think?

Yeah, there is some rumor that GTX880 will be cheaper than 780ti and about 10% faster... But $10 cheaper is "cheaper" too 😀

If your crystal ball is cloudy then examine the past.
They will be the same price as the GTX 770 and 780 before it.

The rumors are calling for the 870/880 to be cheaper than their current generation counterparts. Their are also leaked 3D Mark screenshots showing the GM104 GTX 880 at 20% faster than the GK110 GTX 780 Ti.

Its usually a regrettable choice to purchase a hot, noisy, power guzzling last gen video card right before the new generation is released. In this case, you will at least have 4 months before you have the opportunity to regret your purchase.
