It's very easy to get an idea of what fps you will get ... CPU doesn't impact fps all that much on most games. But as each web site uses the same test system, you can get a very solid understanding how each card will perform relative to one another.

For performance in 16 different popular games start here:

1050 Ti 4GB - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1050_Ti_Gaming_X/7.html

1060 3Gb - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Gaming_X_3_GB/6.html

1060 6GB - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Gaming_X/6.html

On average the 1060 6Gb is 7% faster than the 3GB model which is 44% faster than the Ti

While SLI was a great idea for the 970 beating the 980 by 40% on average for the same price. two 960s couldn't catch the 970. Scaling on the 10xx series has been poor, tho I don't think anyone's quite sure if this is intentional or not. With no competition from AMD in the upper performance segment, the only card that would get hurt by good 1070 SLI performance would be the 1080.
