I hadn't experienced any of these problems until I had installed the card. I upgraded to a MSI GTX 950 a few months back and have had the issue the entire time. World of Tanks is what I'll be talking about since it is the only game I currently play.
First starting up the game results in the load bar hanging at the very end for what was a lot longer then normal. Rarer occasions results in the game just sitting at a black screen for 2 or so minutes before the log in screen appears.
On the rarer occasion that the screen does sit black for some time the game will be extremely slow to load the first battle. Sometimes resulting in up to a minute passing in battle before I enter the battle. Nothing acts slow in the menu or garage, only when the battle is loading.
I've alt/tabbed out while waiting for a battle to load to see if something is using any resources but nothing looks abnormal. Task manager shows no excessive cpu/ram usage. I know Nvidia added a lot of content to my computer when I installed this card. I've shut off auto updates, game setting detection, Nvidia streamer service which I've read could cause the system to slow. I've completely shut down, but not uninstalled the MSI update(?) service that was also installed with this card. I can not think of any reason why. with installing a card, my system would essentially load slower. To be honest it feels like my whole system runs a little slower now after the install.
I am running an AMD A4-5300 with 8GB of ram. Like I said I hadn't had any issues up until this install. I've also, at least to the best of my knowledge, removed the drivers for the on board GPU that the AMD APU was using.
Update: I have removed both 3D drivers and the HD audio drivers last night. There seemed to be slight improvement. I want to remove the MSI live update but can't figure out through searches if it is a program I need to leave on there.
Update 2: So with the unnecessary drivers I removed I also had updated the driver through the GeForce Experience which was dated 03/08/16 I believe. For the last few days there have not been any hangs and have yet to deal with the black screen that had appeared a few times. I am going to give that a go that it is fixed and I just failed to keep up with the driver. Thank you for the answer.
