Gtx 960 2gb or 4

Hello guys,I am going to buy an gtx 960 ,i was wondering which version should i buy 2gb or 4gb,because i am playing with 1920x1080P monitor,because i heard that if i am going to play on 1080P resolution i need 2 gb because there is no point buying 4 gb,thats what i've heard.How can i know on what resolution i can play,is it depending on the monitor?

there are almost no difference between 2 gb and 4 gb, even at 1440p. so go for the cheapest.

Ok but how i can play on bigger resolution with that monitor,or it depends on the monitor ?

4GB is excessive for gpu with 960 caliber. But 2GB seems too little when some recent games can be VRAM hog. But often then not the cost beween 2GB and 4GB is minimal. In some case the difference is mere $10. So if you can find cheap 4GB model then just grab that. Having more never hurts anyway.

If you want to play games at a higher resolution than 1080p, then you will need to buy a new monitor that has a higher resolution like 2560 x 1440.
