My current pc config :
Amd fx 8320 4.8ghz
Asus m5a99fx pro
8gb ram
Galax 2gb gtx 960
Seasonic 620w psu
dell 1080p monitor

I've the budget to buy a new gtx 960 so i was thinking of buying it but the 2 gig vram is setting me back . Do modern games require more than 2 gig at 1080p?

Should i go for sli, given the fact that i don't care about noise, power consumption, heat and i won't be upgrading from my 1080p monitor anytime soon.

What games do you play? SLI support has been pretty abysmal in a lot of newer games. That said in games with proper sli support sli 960s should perfom very well at 1080p even with only 2gb of vram. Personally I would stay away from sli, I think your money would be best spent on a powerful single card.
