Yeah its more than adequate. The VS psu's aren't the best in the world but your system will draw likely less than 400watts under full load so you wont be pushing it very hard, it should be just fine.

cooler master thunder 500watts psu vs corsair vs550 watts which is good

Both aren't good but the Corsair is the lesser of 2 evils as its less likely to turn your system into a smoldering brick.

A GTX 970 requires a 500w and I own a 550w. So your PSU will have lots of wattage spare to power the GTX 960 and the rest of the build
