Gtx 960 4gb or Gtx 1060 3gb?

Hello there. I have the i3 4170 and I am planning on changing my graphics card. I initially wanted the gtx 1060 3gb, but unfortunately it bottlenecks the i3 on most of the new games. Then someone told me that the gtx 960 4gb would perform much better.
Is that true? Should I get the 1060 or the 960 for the best performance?

The 960 would be less of a bottleneck; that does not mean it will "perform better", it will perform worse than the 1060 it will just balance out your system more. The 1060 is the better card.

Edit: From looking quickly at PCPP, 960s are still running just under $200-just over $200. Which is the exact same price as 3g 1060s. The 1060 is a better card, I don't exactly know why someone would recommend you get a worse card for the same exact price...

Go with the 1060. It' silly to buy something worse for the same price.
