GTX 960 4GB Perfomance at 768p

Hey, just wanted to know, like i know the 4 GB are almost useless in 1080p, but what about 1366x768p ? Does the performance in that resolution increase a little above the 2 GB version ?

Even more useless. VRAM gains in importance the higher up you go in resolutions and quality settings, especially AA.

Yes its true but the higher the resolution the better the card will run at 4 gig now Nvidia is moving away from the 2 gig models to just 4 gig models now so you could save some money... But on the other hand if you upgrade monitor in the future you will have that abilty to run 1080 or higher.

I see, i will indeed upgrade to a 1080@ 24" inch monitor, perhaps in march or may.. But how many fps, lets say in Battlefield 4, Hardline and GTA V would i get with the 4GB version ? My processor is an i3 4130 and i will those games at high, high and normal settings, respectivly*. I don't find Ultra very different from V. High and i want my gpu to have a longer lifetime. (Had a bad experience with my last pc, want this to last at least 4-5 years)

No pc is future proof there are new cards, boards, cpu coming out everytime but I'm sure you be able to upgrade your cpu in the future as well as your gpu if need be by then.

Depending how much you use it, I wouldn't expect a gpu to last 5 years. My last card made it 3 years with moderate - heavy use.

As for vram I would definitely get 4gb - GTA V needs around 2gb for fairly low settings.
