GTX 960/950 or 760 4GB card.

So my 'rich' friend always keeps up to date with his gaming needs and he wants to replace his not so old MSI Gaming Edition GTX 760 4GB card. Now he will probably go along the lines of the GTX 970. He has now offered me his 760 for about half the price that the card is worth new. Is it worthwhile for me to buy the card off of him?

My PSU will need to be upgraded seen as I only have a 450W. Would a better option be for me to wait for the 900 series Low End/Mid Range cards to get launched? As they are extremely power effiecient. Im not looking at maxing games at anything higher than 1080p. Thats why I think the 760 is a bit of a waste, but I would like to mod Skyrim with texture mods which Ive seen his card can handle.

Would you recommend me to upgrade my PSU and buy his 760 card from him? Or to rather get a card more styled for my gaming purposes such as the 950ti (if there is one launching next month) which is power efficient and also can play games at Medium/High settings at 1080p if its anything like the 750ti.

Hopefully the 900 series will be ahead of 700 series but gtx 760 is not a bad bargain if you get it for half of the current price the 900 series will be costly than 700 series and generally gtx 760 requires a 500 watt psu with 30 or more amps so if you have a good 450 watt of PSU with more than 30 amps then it will handle the gtx 760 very well the gtx 760 has a TDp of 170 watt and while gaming it will consume upto 150 watt your processor say another 100 watt max and other peripherals 100 watt max so you will still remain with some headroom.
