I recommend the G1 Gaming if you're willing to spend $5 extra or so. It's one of the quietest, if that matters, and keeps your GPU very cool. If you want to stick to strict $200, get the EVGA SSC ACX 2.0 or the ASUS Strix. The EVGA runs a little cooler, possibly a little faster. The Strix is still very good cooling, but a little quieter. The performance between those two is very similar. The G1 tends to perform a little better.

EVGA's cooler on the 960 isn't the best success.
At the moment, the best ones are:
Gigabyte: G1 (if it doesn't fit in your case, the windforce with 2 fans is good too)
MSI: Gaming 2G (there's the regular red one, and green one called 100ME)
Asus: Strix

As for backplate: the Gigabyte G1, the green MSI Gaming 100ME, and the Strix have one. Might be something to consider if your case has a window.

Pick one that you like the look of, they're all pretty good. But, like others mentioned, I would really stick with EVGA, Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte.
