GTX 960 Capabilities

I currently just use a 40 inch TV, but am looking to get a monitor so I can game and watch movies or hockey.
TV is a 1080p, can my video card handle a 144hz, 1440p gaming monitor at the same time?
Also if I do buy that, will the video card be able to support a 4k tv if I upgrade? Say Netflix on 4k and gaming on 1440p, at same time, and also occasionally the other way around.
Does this video card do 4k gaming at all?

When talking about 4k, the 960 is really only capable in displaying movies and such. I suppose you could play games like tf2 or csgo in 4k but no AAA titles

GTX 960 is trash for anything bigger than 1080p for games.

The GTX 960 does support 4k. But you shouldn't expect good performance with gaming @ 1440p since the card only has 2GB (unless you have the 4GB version, but either way it still won't have good perfomance). So you should definitely upgrade your graphics card if you want to game @ 1440p and use the 144hz screen to its potential.
