Gtx 960 EVGA ssc 2Gb or 4Gb? I don't care about other GPUS as I cant afford them!

So I have a maximum of 220 euros, I have decided to buy a gtx 960. But I need your help, should I get the gtx 960 2gb or 4gb.

Some are saying 4gb is future proof since games are slowly being made for 4gb games.

So does that mean I can't play 4gb games with my 2gb gpu?

if you use texture mods and such in your games, then the 4 gb is worth it. otherwise it is not. at 1080p and lower(the highest this card can handle) 2 gb is plenty for games. but those add-on mods and other type things can make use of the extra vram.

4 gb is not really needed normally for the lower resolutions so games are not going to be needed it all of a sudden like some people are saying. if the price is close enough or the 4 gb one is on sale, it might be worth it. otherwise just get the 2 gb model.

Get the 4GB version, 2GB cards are slowly dying out, as we move on more graphically demanding games and resolution changes. The only limiting factor that my GTX 950 SSC had on Shadow of Mordor was VRAM, or else I could have play on ultra.

Hi so I found this. Apparently Newegg are really cheaper than amazon, at amazon I have to pay 220 for gtx 960 2gb EVGA. But here I found

4 GB is definitely worth it. I downloaded EVGA's precision gpu software and it shows in newer games (fo4, overwatch,shadow of mordor) i am using over 2 GB of VRAM.

what your system specs ? like motherboard ?? just be sure it got a uefi bios when wanting to use a 900 card with the cant afford I got to wonder if you got a old system or a prebuilt like a hp or something ??

Actually I have decided to see how the rx 480 is and I might buy that if its good and then slowly upgrade my pc with i7 processor and upgrade mobo.

that's cool just wanted to point out the 900 cards and the uefi requirement and they may not work at all on a board with a legacy bios before you buy it
