GTX 960 needed 2 x 6 pins but my 1070 says it will only need 1 x 8 pins

As stated above. I just bought a single 6 to 8 pin adapter would that be okay to power the GPU? My PSU is fine with the power consumption i know that for a fact was just wondering. Thanks!

Yes, it's okay. Asus GTX 970 Strix uses a 8 pin connector too.
