There is no big difference in performance. Pick the one with better cooling and the one that does fit into your PC Case.

But If you have some money to spare, i would recommend you buying GTX 1060 or GTX 970. They are a LOT better and faster for gaming. But, of course, they are more expensive. Up to you. In your place I would save that 50$ to buy better card. After all, GPU is the most important hardware for gaming :)

You wouldn't see much of a difference at all. I just upgraded from a Nvidia GTX 960 4 gb to a GTX 1070 and it was well worth it. The 960 isn't a good performance to price value, one of the worst, I didn't research this at first and regret the buy, would have opted to get the gtx 970 at the time if I did my research.

I would recommended you to upgrade to the GTX 1060, it's in the same price class and you will get far superior gaming performance.
