Hello.

I am currently building myself a new computer, but I can't decide which video card is better for video editing software.

I am thinking between a Geforce GTX 960 (or 970) or a 760. As far as I heard the 760 is the better one in terms of faster rendering, but I am also thinking about some casual gaming. Would 760 be enough?

760 is older than the 960. The 960 would be better at 99% of tasks as its newer qnd better. But if you can get a 970 (or an R9 390 especially), they'd be even better for that stuff.

Thank you for the replies. I still have a question regarding Adobe software support for GTX 960. I have been reading that the 900 series is currently not supported as it is based on a different architecture than the 700 series. Thus my question is whether Adobe Premier Pro will run efficiently on a GTX 960, will the rendering be better? Also what about Adobe After Effects (though it is not the main software I will be using, let's say I'd like to experiment a little bit with making my own effects, etc.)?

What is your opinion?
