Hi there,

Im going to upgrade my rig with a Gtx 960 from EVGA. I have a Phenom ii x3 720 processor. There will be a bottleneck obviously but as long as I can play 60+ fps on high settings at games like bf4, ac unity, grid there is no problem. I will buy an I5 + MoBo at 2016. I will play on 1080p.

So is 2GB VRAM enaugh for me ?
Can my 480watt Cooler Master PSU handle both GTX 960 and OC Phenom?
Is it better to move to a AMD R9 series because of mantle and vram? But I dont want to buy a PSU because of budget.
If 960 is a fine upgrade is there other variants better than EVGA?

My current setup:

Phenom II X3 720 @3.00GHZ (will buy a Hyper 212 Evo so can go up further but when unlocking 4th core it crashes.)
8GB DDR3 RAM
GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P >>>>>>>>>> http://goo.gl/ddvqrO
Radeon HD 4850 (like a fighter jet under load)
Cooler Master Elite 332 Case
Asus 27" FHD monitor.

So... Any advice ? :)

Solution
the CPU will bottlneck if you get it up to 3.2-3.5 ghz than youll be fine and dont expect 60 fps in unity i run it with my 7950 boost and fx 8320 4,0ghz and still dont hit 60 fps in ultra
