Gtx 960 or R9 280 for video editing/gaming

Hello, I' am going to built a pc with i7 4790k and 16 gb ram. The use will be videon editing (with premiere pro) and gaming secondary. Which gpu is better to buy? Amd r9 280 or nvidia gtx 960 2 gb, and why? Thank you !!!

Either will work but premeire pro does better with cuda(nvidia) than opencl(amd)

But the r9 380 has 3 gb vram rather than 2. What's more important? The Cuda or 1 more gb of vram?

vram has little impact on most editing functions since we are processing data thru it, not storing it there.

and keep in mind that not all editing functions can use gou acceleration.

More does not always mean better. Raw performance wise 960 is slightly faster (in gaming). And for your pro application see if you use cuda or opencl.
