gtx 960 or r9 280?

hello guys im gonna buy a new card and i dont know which one to choose i want to play games at 1080p ONLY and also at 720p in the future which one would you recommend ? dont count the memory difference because i will play on a small resolution

Well definitely the 960. But why 720p in the future?

For 1080p, GTX 960.

For 720p, GTX 750 Ti or R7 265 is enough.

no i mean if i wont be able to have 1080p in games anymore i should get to 720p if its too laggy lets say also can this card last for 2-3 years? even at 720p?

I think the GTX 960 will be fine at 1080p even in 2-3 years. Maybe not 60 fps at all times but it will work fine.

Most models of the GTX 960 are alright, you don't have to choose a specific brand. I've got the MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2G

whichever reputable brand of 960 is the cheapest, MSI, Gigabyte, Asus or EVGA will do fine

I personally have an asus strix 960, and im very happy
