I'm currently looking to add a discrete GPU to my APU build and $200 is my budget. I think I've narrowed it down to two cards the GTX 960 & the Radeon R9 280(non x) and I really can't decide which one would be the best. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Depends on what you want...

The GTX 960 usually gets better frame rates at 1080p and consumes less power.

The 280 will perform better at 1440p and up, but consumes more power and runs with higher temperatures.

Very misleading video. The 512MB isn't "disabled", it's just a separate portion from the other 3.5GB.

Any body that buys a GTX 960 for 4K doesn't know what they're doing. That's consumer ignorance. The 960 was built for 1080p, and it performs very well at it.
