I'm planning to buy a Gigabyte GTX 960 (windforce, ? relevant) and saw that it needs a 6 pin connector for power, I have a 500W PSU with a 4 pin connector, can I use that 4 pin in the 6 pin one, is it going to be enough? Or can I get a connector from 4 to 6 pins?
Buying a new PSU is kinda out of the question right now :/

Added: Could I get a sata to 6 pin converter, would that work?

Solution
Using any adapters to power GPU is always bad idea. 500 W PSU that does not have even one PCIe connector? Most likely some junk that in reality gives 300 W of power max. Get a proper quality PSU before buying new GPU - I know it's not the answer you want to see, but that's how things work. You may buy a SATA to 6-pin adapter and maybe it will even work for a while, but more likely that not it will soon fail and may damage your new GPU. Definitely not worth the risk.
