I am looking to buy the gtx 960, but i dont have a spare 8 pin power cable. Can anyone give me any advice to get around this?

Solution
all the evga 500w psu's have 2 x 6+2 pcie connections. the W1, B1 and BQ all have it.

you got to look closer but they should be there. and a 960 should only need a 6-pin for the reference design. some do use an 8-pin but many only need a 6-pin. either way, you should have that covered easily.

another option is the new 1050ti card which is similar in performance and uses either no extra power or only a 6-pin. is a solid choice if you don't have the needed power leads since it does not need one.

I dont think it is that one. It has one 8-pin for the mother board but i dont know where the other one would be. I have a few cables not being used but i dont know what they are.

The extra cables that are not used no doubt contain the 6+2 pin PCIe power cable. There should be two sets of them.
