I almost built my budget gaming pc,
Processor - FX 6300
mobo - gigabyte GA 970A DS3P
and ordered for a MSI R9 270X 2G Gaming but my friend said that nvidia will reveal GTX 960 on jan 2015 - CES which might be on par with the specs(leaked) of R9 290 and price below R9 270X

Will GTX 960 bottleneck FX 6300?

Is the specifications and specs true and should i wait or should i need to go with R9 270X ?

If i need to wait for the GTX 960,can u suggest me a motherboard around 7000(INR) which has integrated graphics so that i can play(till i get gtx 960) Dota2,CS GO in medium settings with atleast 60-100FPS constant

There isn't any modern mobos (that I am aware of) that have integrated GPU for the AM3+ socket, since that feature is tied to the CPU, not the mobo.

I'd say others may give a better opinions on 960 vs 270x, but personally, I don't place any faith in products that don't exist.

You need to wait till the 960s are released before you will find specs on them, prices and availability and reviews. At the moment there is no info - just guesses.

eg it will be between a gtx750 and a gtx970 in cost and performance - that's a big gap.

Yeah it might be foolish for waiting for the unreleased/rumoured card but i found this one in the internet, which makes me to believe gtx 960 to some extent
http://techreport.com/news/27343/geforce-gtx-960-appears-in-import-shipment-record
Seems like the talk about gtx 960 originated from sweclockers website,is it a legit website , did it spread news on other cards before its release and did it become true ?

PS-I bought an octa core phone (XOLO) last month for 14k and i thought this is the best phone for its price in india and wen i bought there was a rumour on Micromax+Cyanogen octacore phone for low price and yes they announced the Yureka phone with awesome features just for 9k and this gave me a heart attack
So i dont want another heart attack because of 960 after buying r9 270x :/

That's how electronic market works (you buy something that appears great for the money, then something better comes along). The only way to allieviate that feeling is buy what you were waiting for as soon as it is released.

Back on topic, one of the things I don't like about that post is that it was posted on Nov-11, but the quoted manifest is dated in september, so it is possible that it was a manifest labelling error. The fact that it only quoted 1 such shipment arouses my suspicions even more.

But if you really are uncomfortable with your 270x, get it refunded if possible, and wait for 960, if you can't refund it, it's done now, not much can be done beyond life experience. If you do wait, then you won't be able to use that computer (if anything, it lacks even an iGPU).

Yup i could cancel the order and i used cash on delivery option so i havent paid any amount for it

1)In some websites, the leaked specs shows that the gtx 960 will be equal to r9 290 in performance so if this is true, will it bottleneck fx 6300?

Meanwhile it might take jan or even march so atm i am planning to play dota2,cs go in medium settings at 60-100 fps
Which will be the cheapest graphic card for it(after getting 960/ 270x,i would fit this cheapest card to my old pc)
