My GPU is Gtx960 palit superjetstream 2gb, my temp at playing games is around 78degree celcius at fans around 45%,after im tried curve fans with afterburner it temps around 68-73 degree Celcius at fans 65%. my friend told to me speed up gpu fans will decrease lifespans of my gpu fans, this is worrying me. Should i speed up my gpu fans?or leave it default from factory..im so confused, i want my gpu last longer, please help me

It's designed to run at 80c. In Afterburner, check on your graph for the "Temp Limit" variable. This is used as the temperature target for your Turbo Boost algorithms. Below that and your Turbo Boosts increase, above that they decrease. If you don't like that temperature, change the Temp Limit (at the risk of higher fan noise).
Leave your fans on Auto, unless you are trying to max out your Turbo Boost clocks. Your card was designed to target and run at a temperature of 80c. It adjusts its Turbo Boost clocks in relation to its temperature target.

Forcing an artificially lower temperature only makes sense if you are deliberately trying to max out the Turbo Boost clocks. Otherwise longevity isn't really an issue with a highly efficient GPU like the Maxwell chip in your GTX 960.

So the best option is leave it default from factory right? Im not overclocking so ill uninstall afterburner later, it is okay leave it running at 80celcius for long terms?
